August update
In LA, we are very concerned about our body. We all want a hot body. And indeed there are very beautiful people everywhere.
I think the church should want a hot body too.
Romans 12:4-5 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
Edward Li is the head of operations at pathos|creative. Ed and I had a very encouraging meeting with Pastor Charles Kim yesterday. As we talked, we realized that we know a great number of people in common. And that we ALL want to use our talents to tell the world how great Jesus is. I was excited about the possibilities. But I also thought that we as a group can be better about working together.
How marvelous and wide is the network of faithful believers all over the world. How amazing it would be if we could all lay down our egos and work together and admit that some are more talented in some areas. Leverage those differences to make a more powerful whole. We could work out our entire body. Not just have big biceps but a strong core. Do some squats and deadlifts. Feed it the right the right nutrients. We could be strong. We could be beautiful. We could have a hot body.
LORD, we pray for a powerful body. A body that makes the world wonder. A body that lifts heavy weights, does great good, and spread much love.
